Want Healthy, glowing skin? Part 5: ALWAYS USE DIFFERENT SKIN CARE PRODUCTS IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT

Why is it so important that your skin care routine is different in the morning than at night? Well your skin has different needs during the day than when you are asleep at night.

Daytime brings a high level of stress. Exposure to makeup, oil production, dirt, bacteria, UV, pollutants, and other environmental elements. All of this creates harmful free radicals (scavengers of youth!) that damage your skin cells and cause degeneration to your skin’s collagen DNA, your skin cells blue print. Using products that will provide proper defense for your skin in the morning will control these free radicals and help prevent & slow the damage. Anti-Oxidants such as Vitamins C, E & CoffeeBerry extract will target this. You also need, of course, a great sunscreen to protect your skin from damaging UV rays, which are present 365 days of the year regardless of the weather!

In the evening we need to turn the focus on hydration, repair and nourishment to the skin cells. All of this will aid in keeping your skin’s lipid barrier intact for retaining proper moisture levels in the skin. NOther time is the perfect time to use serums containing retinol, peptides or glycolic acid to repair and smooth the skin and encourage healthy collagen production.
